With the International Day, we celebrate this diversity in a big way. The festival has a long tradition and has been celebrated for over 30 years. The International Day begins at lunchtime at the Konzertsegel with a colorful supporting program by various groups and associations. Various food stalls from different nations/cultures, information offers and a colorful hands-on program for children round off the offer. Marketplace concert of the Stadtkapelle Radolfzell 1772 e. V.
Under the direction of its conductor Kuno Rauch, the Stadtkapelle Radolfzell provides a real open-air experience in the heart of the old town. The symphonic concert on the market square, which takes place every two years, is a cooperation between the orchestra and the town’s cultural office and is a highlight in Radolfzell’s music calendar. The Stadtkapelle Radolfzell 1772 e. V. is a symphonic wind orchestra with around 70 members, which has accompanied and enriched the cultural life of Radolfzell for over 250 years. For example, the band plays a major role in the Hausherrenfest and accompanies many other municipal events and celebrations. It is also dedicated to concertante symphonic brass music at competitions and on concert tours. As a prelude to the Market Square Summer 2026, the Stadtkapelle will offer its audience rousing concert brass music and more against the magnificent backdrop of the cathedral. A special concept will be developed for this, which will appeal to the audience as a whole. The program, interior design, stage set-up and lighting concept are all intertwined in keeping with the motto of the city’s anniversary. This transforms the market square into a place of captivating acoustic and visual impressions for visitors. Summer night feelings and all-round enjoyment are guaranteed!
Tango flash mob: Radolfzell’s Tango Argentino scene presents itself
The project tango flashmob takes place on May 16 at around 11 a.m. on the market square in Radolfzell. Two Argentinian tango musicians, a bandoneonist and a guitarist, start playing tango music as if it were a street concert. People come closer to listen to the tango duo. Suddenly, a couple starts dancing. They dance for a minute and then separate to invite two more people to dance with them. These two couples dance for another minute and then separate again to invite four more people, and so on until the place is full of dancing couples. It’s like a snowball that gets bigger and bigger. Afterwards, the talented dancers invite the inexperienced to a short tango course led by Argentinian teacher Rafael Mendaro.

Scenic song recital
But the history of Radolfzell has so much to offer that you get slightly stressed during the brainstorming session: what should you focus on? You could play out scenes from the Heilig-Geist-Spital to the Mettnau cure. Or would you rather sing the praises of Viktor von Scheffel? What about the vineyards, the pub culture or the Ratoldus fountain? And Schiesser? Schiesser must definitely go in!
That’s why this time the ZellAkkorde are telling lots of little stories about the town. The focus is on rather unknown women whose fate is linked to Radolfzell. However, male personalities such as Victor von Scheffel and Jacques Schiesser also have their say and sing. Embedded in various Radolfzell locations and institutions. An exciting anniversary evening!
Directed by Anny de Silva & Waltraud Rasch. Musical direction / accordion: Gerhard A. Schiewe from Berlin.

Seefestival Radolfzell: Festival Saturday with LaBrassBanda
When lederhosen meet trumpets and brass band music collides with Balkan beats, LaBrassBanda is not far away. The internationally acclaimed brass pop band from Bavaria will once again make a guest appearance in Radolfzell and transform the concert venue on Lake Constance into a bubbling dance floor. With their unmistakable mix of Bavarian dialect, ska, reggae, techno and folk music, LaBrassBanda have been delighting audiences far beyond the Alps for over 15 years. Whether at the Oktoberfest, the Montreux Jazz Festival or the Munich Olympic Hall – their shows are legendary, sweat-inducing and full of joie de vivre.
Before that, the Austrian “Quetschn-Synthie-Mischung” Folkshilfe will be on stage at the concert venue. Their success is based on songs that mesh like cogwheels and tell stories about being human and being human. Folkshilfe is a conceptual journey without having imposed a concept on themselves. The development of the band has been very progressive from the beginning and has allowed the band to grow bigger and bigger.
Fat beats. Wild performance. Pure party. That’s the motto of Knallblech, the second band in Saturday’s line-up. Founded in 2016 as a school band, the newcomers are now tearing up everything in their path across Germany. The brass band brings well-known party anthems to the stage in a completely new way with brass instruments, self-produced DJ beats and crazy choreos. Music on, head off, let’s go.
The Seefestival Saturday will be opened by the Radolfzell local heroes Froschenkapelle. With a mixture of brass, funk and tongue-in-cheek pop, the cult formation ensures an exuberant atmosphere on Lake Constance. For over 15 years, the band has been delighting audiences with handmade music, flashy outfits and a sound that gets you dancing.
Radolfzell Lake Festival: Gentleman
On Friday, June 5, 2026, the Radolfzell Lake Festival will become the
venue for a very special evening: Gentleman, Germany’s
reggae icon, will bring his positive energy, his unmistakable
voice and the Jamaican sunshine directly to Lake Constance.
For three decades, the Cologne-based musician has stood for authentic
reggae with attitude – honest, emotional and full of passion. With
songs such as “Dem Gone”, “Superior” and “Intoxication”, he wrote
music history and made reggae from Germany internationally
respectable.
Anyone who experiences Gentleman live knows that his concerts are more than just music –
they are an emotion. When the sun sets over the lake and the
first basslines ring out, audience and artist merge into a
great unity of rhythm, energy and joie de vivre.
So: evening sun, the shore, cool drinks and Caribbean vibes in the air – that’s the sound of summer 2026 in Radolfzell!
