Radolfzell movie nights

The Radolfzell movie nights mean pure summer feeling! In a unique setting directly on the shores of Lake Constance, Radolfzell is transformed into a special kind of open-air cinema at the end of July.

Between starry skies and water, visitors can enjoy the latest movie highlights in a relaxed atmosphere. The films are selected in advance by the public via an online vote.

A vote will be held early next year to select the films to be shown at the Film Nights in 2027.

Tickets will be available at the Radolfzell Tourist Information Office starting in early July 2027. Remaining tickets will be available at the box office, if any are left.

Radolfzell evening market

The Radolfzell evening market has been part of the summer atmosphere on western Lake Constance for many years. Every Thursday from 4 to 9 pm, the historic heart of Radolfzell’s market square is transformed into a cozy meeting place from the end of June to the beginning of September. Food and drink stalls provide moments of enjoyment and music is also on offer. Smaller bands, such as singer-songwriters, perform on the market stage.

Culture Night 2026

On Friday, October 2, 2026, creativity will once again be in the air in Radolfzell! At the 22nd Radolfzell Culture Night, art and culture enthusiasts can embark on a fascinating and varied journey of discovery through the city from 6:00 p.m. to midnight. This time, the Böhringen district will also be taking part. Mayor Simon Gröger will officially open the Culture Night at 5:00 p.m. at the Evangelical Church in Böhringen.

With over 80 participating artists, Culture Night 2026 offers a particularly diverse program. At numerous exhibition venues, artists from Radolfzell and the surrounding region will present their works, performances, and projects. From music, dance, and theater to literature and film, and on to painting, photography, sculpture, and craftsmanship, nearly every form of artistic expression is represented. Visitors are invited to experience art and culture firsthand and discover extraordinary exhibition venues. They can look forward to a special atmosphere, exciting encounters with the artists, and a city that, for one night, is entirely dedicated to art and culture. Participation in the Culture Night is free for all artists. The event is organized by the city’s Cultural Office.

Among the first-time participants this year is the theater club of the Friedrich-Hecker-Gymnasium. Under the title “Hecker-Act,” the students will present amusing scenes based on Carlo Goldoni’s comedy “The Servant of Two Masters” at the Evangelical Church in Böhringen
. The performance centers on the shrewd Truffaldino, who serves two masters at the same time, thereby setting off a chain of mix-ups and chaotic situations. The performance offers a preview of the full play, which will be staged at the Friedrich-Hecker-Gymnasium on October 21, 2026.

An Oasis of Experiences in the Former FORA Factory

The former Fora factory at
on Libellenweg, behind the Nahkauf, is being transformed into an oasis of artistic experiences. Amid factory halls, studios, and old factory buildings, a space will open up for Culture Night that many Radolfzell residents pass by every day—yet hardly know. Under the motto “FORA SUBKULTUR” and curated by Victoria Graf, the former FORA factory will become a vibrant hub for art, music, crafts, and social interaction for two evenings. Artists, musicians, creatives, and business owners invite you to discover the diverse spaces of the site. Open studios offer glimpses into current projects, while bands and solo artists provide the perfect soundtrack—and behind doors that are usually closed, exciting stories and surprising perspectives await. The FORA Factory epitomizes a vibrant subculture where creative work, craftsmanship, and everyday business life coexist side by side. Here, works of art are created alongside metal structures, event technology is developed, and new ideas for the neighborhood’s future take shape. If you’re curious about hidden places, creative people, and a special atmosphere away from traditional cultural venues, “FORA SUBKULTUR” is the perfect place for you.

Another highlight of the program is a group exhibition featuring several artists from Böhringen, organized by the Bleib e.V. association in the Böhringen barn. In addition to the theater performance, guests can look forward to a varied program of exhibitions and music at the Protestant Church in Böhringen.

Go on a journey of discovery in the city center

There’s also plenty to see and do in the city center. Artist Daniel Wolf is showcasing his wooden sculptures in the attic of the City Library (
), while the City Museum (
) is presenting a special exhibition—designed specifically for the Night of Culture—on the history of its past exhibitions. Another eye-catcher is Jan Klingenberg’s exhibition at Elsa’s Hairlounge at Schützenstraße 15. There, Klingenberg displays his extraordinary, homemade electric guitars. Using materials such as skateboards, stair treads, tin cans, records, wooden suitcases, and cigar boxes, he creates unique instruments that visitors can not only admire but also try out. Spontaneous jam sessions are expressly encouraged!

At Villa Bosch, which opens at 6:00 p.m. on this day, visitors can view the exhibition “So! Or Otherwise? 1,200 Years of Radolfzell” until midnight. In this engaging presentation, students from the HTWG Konstanz and the University of Konstanz invite visitors to rediscover Radolfzell’s history and take a look into the future. The central question is which historical decisions have shaped Radolfzell—and whether things could have turned out differently.
