Radolfzell in detail-scavenger hunt with the cell phone
The smartphone photo tour invites amateur photographers to explore Radolfzell down to the smallest detail. Each participant receives an album with a list of detailed motifs, which are sought out in the city during the 2.5-hour tour and each documented with a selfie. The number of participants is limited to 30 to ensure a personal atmosphere and good support. At the end, each person receives a memory game “Radolfzell from 0 to 100” and two scoops of ice cream as a refreshing souvenir.
Anno 1926 “Radolfzell celebrates 1100 years”
In an exhibition, the Förderverein Museum und Stadtgeschichte Radolfzell e. V. presents 40 impressive impressions of the anniversary celebrations that took place in Radolfzell exactly 100 years ago. The historical glass plate photographs from the Moriell family’s picture archive provide a fascinating insight into the festivities and atmosphere of the town at that time. Thanks to targeted funding, the original glass plates have been restored and reproduced. The prints, which were then printed in large format, will be made available to the public in a free exhibition in the town library.

Object karaoke – The thing from the depot
Object karaoke with exhibits from the Radolfzell City Museum.
Moderation: Johannes Elster
In the museum, we marvel at exhibits that bear witness to times long past, foreign cultures, artistic genius or simply good curation. We are normally denied a look behind the scenes, into the storerooms and into the depot of the Radolfzell City Museum. At Object Karaoke, improv artists present objects from the Radolfzell City Museum that they are seeing on stage for the first time. They are given a new object every 90 seconds for six minutes and have to present it to the audience as originally as possible. After each presentation, the museum explains the real history of the object to the audience.
It is up to the audience to decide by the volume of applause who makes it to the final and wins the first object karaoke in Radolfzell.

Dead or Alive Poetry Slam
SOLD OUT
The “Dead or Alive” format is quite rightly regarded as the supreme discipline of the poetry slam. Actors and actresses slip into the roles of deceased writers and bring their texts, thoughts and voices back to life. They then compete against some of the strongest poetry slammers in the German-speaking world, who take to the stage with their own contemporary texts. In this way, the past and present of literature meet in a direct and often surprising way: Do the works of great writers from beyond the grave – such as Joseph Victor von Scheffel or other classics – still stand a chance against the powerful, political, humorous or deeply personal texts of today’s stage poetry? Or will they be mercilessly sent back into the literary afterlife by the audience? In the end, only the audience will decide which voice wins out – that of the “dead” or that of the “living”.
On stage that evening will be
Presenter: Marvin Suckut
Suckut has been performing on poetry slam stages in Germany, Austria and Switzerland for many years and is known for his trenchant humor, linguistic precision and close proximity to the audience. As a presenter, he combines literary knowledge with quick-witted entertainment: he explains, classifies, reacts spontaneously to what is happening on stage and ensures that both newcomers and die-hard slam fans feel equally addressed. Especially in a format like “Dead or Alive”, where theater, literature and slam meet, his experience is a decisive factor for the rhythm and atmosphere of the evening.
Wehwalt Koslovsky (Husum)
Some call him a “legend”, others the
“wet dream of the educated middle classes” or even the “Mozart of the poetry
slam”. And still others call him a “slam veteran”. It all sounds
great. It’s all nonsense. And the truth, as is so often the case, lies somewhere
in between.
What is certain is that the
stage poet from Düsseldorf, who is now stranded on the North Sea, has lived and breathed poetry slam in the German-speaking world
for 30 years like no other. Who knows, maybe he will even outlive him. Either way
– with or without slam: his texts and performances are
as unique as Fabergé eggs. And anyone who has ever seen him on stage, in
his element, will probably never forget him.
Ramon Schmid (Stuttgart)
Is very much at home in pop culture, both in an educational and artistic context through spoken word, performance theater, hip hop and beatbox in contemporary art. He studied spoken word (B.A.) and rhetoric (M.A.) at the HMDK Stuttgart. Since then, this combination of classical recitation and modern forms of speech art has been the core of his artistic existence. As “Txtmarker”, he also searches for the musical nuances of rap and spoken word. Ramon Schmid writes commissioned texts, stages, conceives and performs shows. He hosts slam events and also works in the fields of creative writing, acting and rhetorical communication. He was part of the permanent speech ensemble of the Akademie für gesprochenes Wort Stuttgart in 2020-2024 and teaches at several drama schools.
Nora Solcher (Frankfurt)
Nora Solcher is a trained actress who works freelance in theater, film and radio. She has been writing texts for theater & poetry slam stages since 2015. First Hamburg, then Hesse. Back at the slam for 3 years. With humorous, politically poetic prose.
Florian Wintels (Bad Bentheim)
Florian Wintels is one of the most charming, versatile and successful stage protagonists on the German-speaking slam scene. Some people may even know that. However, the fact that the man who won the German-language championships in 2022 is a no less highly talented singer and guitarist who has a lot to say is something that sneaks into the consciousness of all poetry fans in a rather relaxed manner. A circumstance that Wintels knows how to change in an extremely relaxed manner and is meanwhile confidently and no less mischievously preparing to stir up the German singer/songwriter and singer-songwriter scene step by step, from Funny van Dannen to Götz Widmann. With wit, subtlety, plenty of bitter humor and abysmal mother-in-law charm. In short: this young man puts a Flori in your ear with his lyrics and songs. Hahaha.
Gina Walter (Basel)Gina Walter, born and raised in the beautiful Basel region (CH), has been making the Swiss slam poetry stages unsafe since 2015. She proudly held the title of “U20 Swiss Champion 2017” for a year and then really took off with it. She has since traveled to various places as a poet and presenter and has already been a semi-finalist at two German-speaking championships (Zurich 2018, Vienna 2022) and a presenter at two others (Bochum 2023, Bielefeld 2024).
Viktoria-Anna Theil (Stuttgart)
Viktoria-Anna Theil was born in Nuremberg in 1995. After her first acting stints in Bochum and Berlin, her path led her to the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart, where she graduated in 2025 with a degree in speech art and speech training. Since then, she has moved between stage and microphone as a speaker and artist, working both in independent ensembles and in collaboration with various institutions – including SWR, the Literaturhaus Stuttgart and literary festivals.

Ringing Minster
To celebrate the end of the anniversary year, the “Klingende Münster” invites you to an evening full of music, community and glittering lights. In the poetically illuminated Minster of Our Lady, musicians from the State University of Music Trossingen and the Radolfzell Music School trace the 1,200-year history of Radolfzell in a variety of tonal colors.
Together they create a varied musical mosaic that takes listeners on an atmospheric journey through time.
The program will be performed twice on 12 December – at 5.30 pm and 7.30 pm.
Between the two concerts, at 6.45 pm, a special communal experience will take place on the market square (no admission charge):
After the welcome by Lord Mayor Simon Gröger, all those present will transform into a large choir under the direction of Pia Löb (cantor of the Christuskirche) and sing Advent carols together. Accompanied by a brass ensemble made up of the brass choir of the Christuskirche and the Radolfzell youth brass orchestra under the direction of Norbert Steiner and Kuno Rauch, this creates a moment of solidarity and a musical symbol of the togetherness that makes Radolfzell so vibrant.
1st Radolfzell Film Festival
In the anniversary year, a film festival will be held at which films on the topic of “youth” will be shown and awarded prizes. At the same time, young people from Radolfzell have the opportunity to take part in a film workshop.

, the festival offers a forum for young perspectives –
and a cinematic experience for all generations.

Open-air theater
On July 3 and 4, the market square will be transformed into a stage: the history of the city will unfold in six interlinking scenes of around ten minutes each – from its foundation to striking development steps and visionary ideas for the future. An open-air production that impressively combines past and present. The texts were written by Romy Bromma and Berthold Gruzel. The production is directed by Monique Moelter, whose creative staging concept ensures a dynamic and atmospheric performance. The play is performed without a curtain and the scenes flow into one another on the open stage. The participatory nature of the project is particularly striking: participants from the community – children, young people and adults – appear on stage together with experienced theater professionals. They were introduced to theater under professional guidance and create the scenes with great liveliness and authenticity. The project sees itself as a civic cultural experience that not only entertains, but also connects. An invitation to a shared culture of remembrance – and to look to the future.
Marketplace summer: open stage for Radolfzell and its districts

Free events ensure broad participation and selected highlights are offered as high-quality evening programs.

Night watchman tour
When dusk falls over the alleyways of Radolfzell’s old town and the last voices of the day fade away, the time of the night watchman begins. With a lantern, halberd and plenty of narrative flair, he guides you through a Radolfzell that often remains hidden during the day. Step by step, a world full of stories, little secrets and great events from centuries past opens up to you.
With a keen eye and a twinkle in his eye, the night watchman recalls his former task: to ensure peace and security, report fires and keep an eye on the night-time goings-on. His stories make you smile, make you think and shed a warm light on life in a time without streetlights and modern conveniences.
Whether locals or guests – this 1.5-hour tour invites you to rediscover Radolfzell. More slowly, more intensively and with all your senses. When night falls over the town at the end of the tour, you will not only be left with the echo of old stories, but also with the feeling that you have come a little closer to Radolfzell.
Tickets must be purchased in advance at the Radolfzell Tourist Information Office or online at Reservix.
The Radolfzell Tourist Information team will be happy to take group inquiries on +49 7732 / 81 500 or info@radolfzell-tourismus.de.
