Percussion meets accordion
17. October – 18. October | 20:00 Uhr

There is a special musical highlight for the anniversary year:
The Radolfzell Accordion Orchestra (conducted by Rudi Hartmann) and the percussion ensemble of the ”
” Music School in Radolfzell (conducted by Martin Deufel) will
- on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. and
- , Sunday, October 18, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
perform a collaborative piece, *
*, in the Small Hall of the Milchwerk Radolfzell.
In this world premiere, these very different ensembles gradually come together musically over the course of *
*, a four-movement work.
The sounds of these instruments are historically rooted in very different styles and eras,
and they are not always the same.
A wide range of musical influences will come together to form “
.” Both groups of musicians have long been open to the music of the
world and a wide variety of genres.
Thus, the soundscape you’ll hear will extend far beyond the clichés of tango, jazz, marches, and so on
. Classical polyphony is and always will be a means of expression; layered sounds
—as found in film scores—along with techniques of classical modernism and the grooves of popular music
span a wide range.
If you still can’t picture what this music is like, you’re right—
: it didn’t exist until now!
So the motto is: Come, listen, be amazed, and enjoy! It certainly won’t be a lecture—
—but rather an enjoyable evening of music that will feel like it goes by “too quickly.”
