Show app

Radolfzell is full of historically significant buildings, such as the cathedral, the Austrian castle or the town hall building – there are exciting stories to discover everywhere. The “zeigmal” app is available for anyone who wants to find out more about what happened at these special places in the past. Radolfzell is even the pilot city for this innovative app! Developed by four former students of the University of Applied Sciences (HTWG), the app ensures that your cell phone keeps alerting you to interesting places. A sound is emitted as soon as you are in front of a historical site. The app works with augmented reality: You can point your cell phone camera at a row of houses, and at the same moment a historical image of the scenery appears on your screen. This allows you to explore the surroundings in an intuitive and visual way and see what the places looked like many years ago. So far, 30 different places in Radolfzell have already been integrated into the app. You can also call up audio information about the locations via podcast-like dialogs – making the exploration even more lively!

The best thing about it: the “zeigmal” app is free to use and can be downloaded from all popular app stores. Before its official launch, the app was even awarded the “Young Innovators” prize by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts.
