City anniversary 2026

Radolfzell will be a proud 1200 years old in 2026 – a special occasion that we are celebrating together for a whole year! Under the motto “Geschtern. Heit. Morge.” we look back, experience today and shape the future.

Yesterday – our story

Radolfzell has experienced a lot since 826: from a modest monastery village to a lively town on Lake Constance. Our long history is characterized by change, resilience and community. In the anniversary year, we are bringing it to life – with exhibitions, guided tours of the town and historical productions.

Heit – our culture

Today, Radolfzell is a place full of life, diversity and cultural strength. Theater, music, festivals and clubs show how active and creative our city is. The anniversary will highlight existing cultural formats and create space for new encounters.

Morge – our development

What do we want for Radolfzell in the next 1200 years? “Morge” stands for future, ideas and co-creation. Citizen projects, workshops and hands-on activities provide space for visions, experiments and thinking ahead together.
